The flavors of Amarante will leave you with mouth water whenever you remember this experience. Starting with the sweetest of this experience, let's get our hands on the convent candies, making and tasting the oldest candies in the city, whose origin goes back to the time of the Poor Clares who lived in the Convent of Santa Clara. They were responsible for the creation of the 5 convent candies of Amarante (Papo de Anjo, Brisa do Tâmega, São Gonçalo, Léria and Foguete) and their revenue was only shared with the exterior of the convent in the 19th century. With an unforgettable taste in our mouths we will walk along the emblematic street of Covelo, the oldest in town. Here we will savor the best typical Portuguese products, such as ham, salpicão, roasted chouriça, cheeses ... all this always accompanied by our light, fresh and elegant green wine.
