Forest Bathing or Therapy
Study results have shown that a short walk in nature seems to be enough to improve your health and mood changes. Nature positively affects peoples mental, spiritual and physical health. As the walks are short, Forest Therapy does not involve hiking in the traditional sense. It is an opportunity to experience contact with nature in a much deeper way - helping the mentally fatigued or socially stressed. Forest therapy has proven to reduce symptoms of depression, diabetes, pain and migraines. The restorative effects of nature are now being prescribed by doctors.
Our sessions will be typically 2 to 3 hours and will be no more than 2km in distance. The therapy guide facilitates the reconnection with nature through a number of activities that are designed to slow people down and help them learn a number of techniques that they can eventually use themselves in the future.
