Furnas volcano and Nordeste full day lunch included

When you have a short time to visit this fascinating island, but you don`t want to have that feeling of having "missed something", this is the ideal solution for you. A combined tour where you can visit the main turistic spots in Furnas volcano, learn how locals cook using the eat of the volcano and admire the natural beauty of Nordeste, a garden by the sea. Lunch is included.

The pick up will be at the Hotel / accommodation or vacation rental, from 09am to 09:20am.

Crossing the Island to the north Coast, the first stop will be at the Tea Factory Porto Formoso with a splendid view over the bay, a magnificent garden and a smiling host for a tea tasting or in Gorrean Tea Factory, the oldest one and guarding a beautiful tea plantation.

Back to the road and stopping at the Pico do Ferro Lookout on top of the Furnas Volcano crater, we admire the interior of the volcano, Furnas village and the Furnas Lake.

We begin our journey into the crater, where optionally, we stop for a hike or a bath in the botanical garden / thermal pool Terra Nostra or a thermal experience in Poça da Dona Beija.

A stop to admire Furnas Lake where we made the famous "Cozido das Furnas" using the heat of the volcano in a hole on the ground. Now is time to prove this typical and unique food at the restaurant.

After a single lunch, we will have a hike in the area of the boilers, visiting the many volcanic manifestations  and where you can taste the many existing mineral waters.

 It follows the Natural Park of Ribeira dos Caldeirões, one of the most visited areas in the Northeast. Watermills, a magnificent waterfall and the trail that winds along the river are the highlights.

 We visited the Northeast Village, admiring the Bridge of seven arches and the peaceful center., the Vista dos Barcos Lookout, from where we have a vision to  Ponta do Arnel lighthouse, the oldest in São Miguel.

 Time to stop at one of the emblematics Viewpoints of  Nordeste,  Ponta do Sossego. An authentic garden by the sea, or in this case, on top of the cliff by the sea where we observe the vastness of the ocean. This  is our last stop before returning to the hotel.

This will be our last stop before returning to the hotel after an unforgettable day.
