It's the perfect tour if you want to visit the highlights of the Island in 4 hours. We start in the afternoon visiting a volcanic peninsula with an impressive spanish fortress built in the 16th century. From the top of the peninsula there's a viewpoint to Angra do Heroísmo (world heritage city). Heading to Southeast, you will visit gothic style churche, inside on display, frescos from the 1500's. A shortcut that takes us along the craterwall Serra do cume. Arriving the top, we can admire the "patchwork" view of the crater, decorated with several stonefences and colorfull hydrangeas. On our way to the north side. Will we pass through several villages that shows traditonal architecture and rural environment. Arriving the Village Biscoitos where we get to see the area of several lavapools formed by the last eruption more than fiftheen thousand years ago.
