Stop At: 25 Fontes and Cascada da Risco, Rabacal, Madeira 6160-206 Portugal

One of the most popular Levada walks in Madeira Island. Its name lives up to the number of fountains or little waterfalls that’s possible to count once you arrive there. Starting in Rabaçal and going to the 25 Fountains, the path reveals many landscapes and a wide variety of endemic species of the flora and fauna of the region.

After arriving at the 25 Fountains delight yourself with the waterfalls gushing toward a magnificent lagoon. Keep going toward Risco, where you can admire a splendid cascade. Finish the walk coming back to the Rabaçal’s house.

With the absence of public buses to this incredible place, we have created the easiest and cheapest way to visit it and enjoy this amazing hike in your own rhythm.

At the entrance of the hike, there is a governmental minibus that is going to take you to the Rabaçal’s house (the starting point). It has a cost of 5 € in cash (two ways), which is not included in our price, and you must take it in order to finish the hike in 4 hours.
