In addition, we offer this tour option in which we continue the visit throughout the historical part of the city of Coimbra and then going to visit Nazareth. Nazaré has been known worldwide for the last ten years for being the home of giant waves, having a unique geography that enhances the waves and form true mountains of water.

The guided tour of the University of Coimbra includes:

- St. Michael's Chapel
- Joanine Library

Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes

Stop At: Biblioteca Joanina, Praca da Porta Ferrea Universidade de Coimbra, Coimbra 3000-447 Portugal

The Joanina Library visit is by appointment every twenty minutes. There is a maximum viewing time of the Library of up to 10 minutes and no photos allowed inside.

Once a monastery the church of Santa Cruz is a must visit in the city of Coimbra for its beauty and also for its history.

Place of the giant waves, there we will visit the pontoon where there is a privileged view to the sea. The best months to see the giant waves are the winter months, December, January, and February. Despite the cold and rain of the Portuguese winter the vision for these waves is unique in the world. In warmer months there are no giant waves but the view is very beautiful and the sun is present on most days.
