This trail is the fastest and easiest way to get to the highest peak of Madeira Island, the Pico Ruivo (1862m), it is 6 km of walking, 3 km of one way and another 3 km of return, with the duration of 3 hours of walking with a calm step down a very accessible path.

During the walk you will find the vegetation of altitude, and all the rock formation of volcanic origin in the highest peaks of the island, with several species of endemic flora of the island of Madeira.
