Ponta de São Lourenço has a great diversity of endemic plants. With breathtaking views of the North Sea and the South Sea, the formation of the rocks shows different colors of their geology, which gives us a fantastic scenery.

Itinerary

Ponta de São Lourenço is the easternmost part of Madeira Island.

This walk always done with an official mountain guide who was born and raised on the island of Madeira and knows the island very well.
This walk takes about 3:30 hours at a calm pace.
During the tour you will see a variety of species of fauna and flora of Madeira Island, as well as the contrast of the northern sea with the southern sea at the same time. One of the beautiful landscapes is the rock formation that we can see in this place, it is very interesting for the various colors that the rocks have, with a huge diversity of geology.
In the middle of the walk, we come to Sardinha's house, the picnic spot and enjoy this wonderful place. In summer you can bring your swimsuit to swim in the crystal clear waters during the picnic time.
After rest we continue to the end of the walk, but before returning to the hotel we stop at one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the island of Madeira.
