Being one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the main attraction of historical Sintra, the Pena National Palace is much more than a simple castle, it is one of the most charming places in Portugal, full of curiosities, incredible landscapes and fantasy. The Palace was built in the 19th century, on a steep rock, which is the second highest point of the Serra de Sintra (above the palace is only the Cruz Alta, at 528m altitude)
Enjoy magnificent views and photo opportunities at Pena Palace, Pena Park and the Countess d 'Edla's cottage and gardens.

Built on a rocky massif in the 9th century, the Moorish Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Serra de Sintra. The castle retains the charm of an ancient ruin, with a dense forest surrounding the ancient walls offering a privileged view of the whole. its rural surroundings extending to the Atlantic Ocean.
Inside it stands the rain-fed cistern and the romantic chapel of St. Peter, whose interesting remains are still visible, such as the two curious Romanesque portals and various tombs of the ancient medieval necropolis.

About 150 meters from the sea, here you can have a comprehensive view of the Serra de Sintra and the coast, which is worth the visit.
Cabo da Roca Lighthouse was built in 1758. It is inserted in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Its flora is diverse and, in many cases, has unique species, being the object of several studies.
