In this walk in Nature you will learn a lot of geology of how the earth formed in direct contact with Earth's history. The Arouca Geopark, corresponding to the administrative area of the Municipality of Arouca, is recognized for its exceptional Geological Heritage of international relevance, with particular emphasis on the giant Trilobites of Canelas, the Partridge Stones of Castanheira and the Icnofósseis of Vale do Paiva. From the gastronomic point of view you will have the possibility to enjoy the famous Arouquesa veal meats and the conventual sweets.

Passages from Paiva 9 Kms beginning in Areinho to Espiunca, trail with 8700 m (linear) average duration: 2: 30h of difficulty in terms of physical resistance but 100% safe, a course along the ravines of the Paiva River, in total immersion with nature in its pure state. Open every year but unadvised on rainy days. It is a walk for people over 12 years old, do not bring children in transport trolleys or disabled people. Considered the best trail in Europe in two consecutive years.
