The fame of wine Carcavelos, is lost in time. Marquês de Pombal that produced them, in his farm of Oeiras, dating back to the 18th century.

The wine prodution was during centuries the economic activity most important in the parish of Carcavelos.

During this tour you can visit cellars of casal da Manteiga,and Marquês de Pombal Palace, ending with a tasting of 3 or 4 Carcavelos Wines.
