Chase the waves and experience surfing for the day at these great spots. We take you to Ericeira, Peniche and Nazare all in one day! You will experience some amazing surfing, the local culture, food and Portuguese history.

We partner with a former pro Portuguese surfer who creates your surf itinerary for the day. Depending on your level, he will share with you the best surf spots taking into consideration the swell and the tides.

We start in Ericeira, then onto Peniche, then arrive in Nazare and enjoy evening waves and the beautiful sunset. You will be able to hire surfboards and wetsuits as we go and if you have your own board we transport it for you.

Stop At: Ericeira, Ericeira, Mafra, Lisbon District, Central Portugal

Often seen as the surf capital of Portugal and the only World Surfing Reserve in Europe! With a diverse choice of beaches there is something for everyone. Waves are consistent, with world-class breaks. Ericeira is a beautiful fishing village with picturesque blue and white houses. Great restaurants, ice cream parlours and pastry shops are all situated near Jogo da Bola square. Plus there are lots of trendy surfer bars and cafes. There is also a great skate park opposite the Quiksilver store and admission is free.

Stop At: Peniche, Peniche, Leiria District, Central Portugal

A meeting point for the World Surf League, Peniche is a year round surf location hosting many international competitions, most famous for Supertubos! With breathtaking scenery and magical sunrise and sunsets, Peniche is a place to simply relax on a peninsula (as you do!). With not much else but surfing going on, it’s a great place to take photos, ride or skate the bicycle lanes and socialise with other surfers.

Stop At: Nazare, Nazare, Leiria District, Central Portugal

Famous for its big wave surfing and Garrett McNamara, Nazare Beach is an exposed beach break with quite reliable waves any time of the year. Swell is to the west and southwest. Suitable for all levels. Nazare has lots to offer. Walk through the narrow streets and discover one of the village’s many excellent seafood restaurants or climb the Elevador and admire the breath-taking panoramic views. A must-see is the famous Lighthouse, from where you get the best views of the huge waves and check out the cool surf museum inside.
