Wild Douro Tour

Ride designed for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. Taking advantage of all the beauty and surroundings of the Douro International Natural Park, we propose a close contact with nature, combining interpretive walking tours, bird watching, nocturnal exits for mammals and nocturnal birds watching, and ATV rides.

Itinerary

Day 1: Oporto - Douro International Natural Park

Stop At: Parque Natural do Douro Internacional, Portugal
Departure from Porto towards Planalto Mirandês, stopping at the Sanctuary of “Santo Antão da Barca”. Lunch in the village of Azinhoso. In the afternoon ATV / pedestrian tour for bird watching in the cliffs of the Douro. Accommodation in Atenor (Casa da Ti Cura). After dinner, go out for bird watching (eurasian eagle owl, tawny owl).

Day 2: Douro International Natural Park

Stop At: Parque Natural do Douro Internacional, Portugal
During the morning, ATV ride through Douro Internacional Natural Park and “Arribes del Duero”. Lunch in Miranda do Douro. Continuation of the interpretive tour in the afternoon. After dinner, night out for observation of mammals (buck, fox).

Day 3: Douro International Natural Park - Oporto

Stop At: Parque Natural do Douro Internacional, Portugal
Departure towards Torre de Moncorvo, with stop in Lagoaça, for bird watching in the cliffs of the Dam of Aldeia d'Ávila, and viewpoint of Carrascalinho. After lunch in Torre de Moncorvo, train journey Pocinho / Régua. Arrival in Porto at 19.00.
