Visit Aibonito, the Garden of Puerto Rico
Most people don't know about Aibonito, a small town on the Central Mountain Range. It includes a good blend of beauty, history, natural resources and good food. We will visit some natural landmarks, historic buildings, beautiful waterfalls and outlooks with amazing views.
A couple of years ago, I was working with FEMA, supporting the recovery from Hurricane Maria. Had to work on the mountains (Aibonito). Discovered this hidden gem, with nice and peaceful people, amazing views and a nice vibe in general. Ended up moving here.
Aibonito has a long history of successful charitable community programs, a lot of history (most people don't know that we were the Capital of PR for a short time in the late 1800's). It is also important on the production of chicken, and decorative plants.
We have some nice rivers, and are relatively close to the Coamo Hot Springs.

This is one of the most important parts of our tour. We will drive into the Natural Reservoir, and hike to the bottom of the canyon. Once we start hiking, you will forget about all your problems. We will get some amazing views of the narrow valley with 500' walls on each side. Once we make it to the bottom (if the weather permits us) we will walk to "La Niebla Falls", a 170 feet tall waterfall. Some people chose to swim and/or meditate at the waterfall.
This is an extreme hike. We walk about 1k, on a steep trail.
You might chose to skip this part of the tour (or any other) and focus on other beautiful areas to visit. There is a lot to see in Aibonito. This is a private tour, so you can chose what you want to see.

If you are hot, we can stop for a swim at Cuyon River. The leyend says that our ancestors believed that those waters had healing properties. I can believe that... the vibe of the place is nice, and the waterfall is beautiful.
