The foundation of the Peter and Paul Fortress became the birthday of Saint-Petersburg on May 27, 1703. It is not only the oldest structure in the city, but also a fortification masterpiece, the burial place of the Russian royal family and the former political prison. During the tour you will see the tombs of the Emperors inside the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, visit the prison museum and have a nice walk around the fortress.
