St Petersburg 3 Cathedrals Tour
Discover the striking beauty and fascinating history of three of Saint Petersburg's architectural jewels: Saint Isaac's Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral and the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood.
The first stop on your tour will be the iconic Saint Isaac's Cathedral. Technically the largest Orthodox church in the world by capacity.
Enjoy a stroll along the Griboyedov Canal to your next visit: the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan. The elegant Neoclassical style of this sprawling church likens it more the temples of Ancient Greece than to an Orthodox basilica, and its palatial columns are one of the most recognizable images of Nevsky Prospect.
You will finish at the Church of the Saviour on Blood. While you admire its vibrant colours and striking shapes, your guide will explain the violent history behind the Orthodox church's origins, built upon the spot where Tsar Alexander II was fatally wounded. Inside, you'll be left in awe by the multi-coloured mosaics depicting religious scenes.
