Our 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Dian Fossey Tomb Visit, will take you to remote Africa in search of rare mountain Gorillas. Become one of the privileged few to get up close and personal encounter with a group of habituated primates while gorilla trekking. Hike to Dian Fossey grave and pay your respect. Witness the sight of the impressive Virunga Mountains and prepare your cameras for incredible wildlife and landscape photography.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
Meet and greet by our representative. Briefed/introduced to your safari driver guide and transfer to Volcanoes National Park, this is a 2 hours’ drive from Kigali city.

Arrive at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel for check in; Dinner & overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience & Cultural Safari

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
06:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

06:30 Am, transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and briefing. Your driver guide will assist and facilitate on identifying gorilla family to visit. Tracking can be between 90 minutes – 6 Hours depending on what family group assigned. You will spend 1 hour with the Gorillas – sometimes moving around to stay with the gorillas or following them.

You will then drive back to the hotel for lunch and refreshment.

Later in the afternoon, you will visit Gorilla Guardians former Iby’iwacu cultural village. This cultural village displays a traditional lifestyle of a Rwandan including dress code, food growing, processing and preparation, their wedding traditional ceremonies.

Drive back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Hike To Dian Fossey Grave & Transfer Back To Kigali

Stop At: Volcanoes National Park, Musanze Kinigi, Ruhengeri Rwanda
06:00 Am, Breakfast at the hotel

06:30 Am, after morning breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration and briefing before start hiking to Dian Fossey Grave, an American Primatologist and conservationist known for undertaking an extensive study of mountain gorilla groups from 1966 until her 1985 murder.

Trekking to the Dian Fossey Tomb is one of the most sought after

safari activities carried out while visiting Volcanoes national park for a gorilla trip.

After this amazing trip to Dian Fossey Grave, drive back to your hotel for lunch and refreshments. Later drive back to Kigali city, stopover a couple of Craft shops to buy souvenir. Proceed to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
