Although the history of Gorée island is rather dark , with the major role the island played in the Atlantic slave Trade , this former slave port is now a gem of Senegal . Our clients will enjoy a pleasant 15 min ferry ride to the island , where they will tour the slave house , the famous art , studio , museum , and the koumba castle .

When clients book , I will immediately engage them just to make sure their needs are met . The itinerary will be explained in details before arrival . And touched up once the clients arrive .Each client will be alerted a couple of hours prior to pick and instructed where to meet . And what time to be at the pickup point . I always have a sign with me that reads “ Makaya Travel Tours “ , making it easier for clients To identify me . Instructions are given thorough-out the tour , up until drop off .
