Drive a Yugo Car Private Tour from Belgrade

If you have ever seen a Hollywood movie with a Yugo car involved in the car chase and ever wanted to experience driving the car, join this fun tour.

Drive a Yugo car on the outskirts of Belgrade.The activity begins with an introduction to the vehicle, its main technical characteristics and a short history of its production. After that you will receive a short training how to drive a Yugo car without power steering, electronic windows, board computers, automatic gear change.

After being picked-up, you will be taken to a big empty parking lot as a 'training area' to get accustomed to your vehicle. After you have become accustomed to your car, you will head to the outskirts of Belgrade towards mountain Avala, where you can enjoy driving in mountain roads. All the time you are accompanied by your private “instructor” who will give you directions and assist you on the road. When we reach the top of Avala mountain we leave the Yugo car and walk to the monument to The Unknown hero which stands at the highest point of Avala and from where you can admire magnificent view over ˆumadija.

From there we head back to the cars and continue further to the Avala tower, which is the tallest tower in the Balkans. This TV tower was bombed and completely destroyed in 1999 NATO bombing and restored in 2010 to its original appearance. On the top floor there is an observation point which will give you breathtaking sights of Belgrade’s area.

After the TV tower we continue our drive in the Yugo car through winding Avala roads passing through beautiful scenery in direction of “ˆuplja stena” where we stop for lunch at the local restaurant “Dom gorana” which serves great food, both traditional and international.

After lunch we turn the steering wheel around and we hit the road back to Belgrade.
