The fortress that changed the masters several times which is not too strange taking into account its position , on the banks of mighty river Danube. Meeting with your guide at your hotel at a time that is most suitable for you. Drive towards east, passing by towns of Smederevo and Pozarevac ,first stop will be Viminacium archaeological park.

This amazing archaeological site is what left from the city built by Romans 20 centuries ago and in its peak it was big one with almost 40.000 inhabitants which lied on the famous Roman road - Via Militaris . Destroyed by the Huns in 5th century , rebuilt by Justinian afterwards but finally and completely demolished by Slavic tribes in 6th century .

You will be able to see the remains of temples, tombs, streets, square, Roman baths ,amphitheatres, hippodromes…
