Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia. It is an administrative, cultural, commercial-business, congress, trade fair, scientific and educational center. The Ljubljana castle has a strategic location above the city, from which there are wonderful views on all sides. On Prešeren Square stands the statue of the greatest Slovenian poet France Prešeren and next to the Franciscan Church. Ljubljana's sights are also the cathedral of St. Nikolaj, the Ljubljana Market and the Plečnik Triple Bridge and the Dragon Bridge, decorated with four dragon statues. In 2016, Ljubljana was the Green Capital of Europe.
