Portorož is the most tourist destination in Slovenia and a beautiful resort with a centuries-old spa tradition. It has a rich tourist infrastructure that attracts guests all over the world and offers a pleasant rest and relaxation.

Piran is a picturesque medieval town on the peninsula and represents one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Istria. There is also a small part of the preserved city walls, some squares, many churches and huge narrow streets, and houses are tightly compressed together.

Strunjan is a small defunct settlement, it covers a protected nature area and is protected as the Strunjan Landscape Park. The most interesting is the Moon Bay, which represents the highest cliff on the entire Adriatic coast. The only Slovenian sea lagoon and the northernmost and smallest salt pans on the Adriatic Sea are also interesting. The legend tells us that in Marija, in Strunjan, the most popular pilgrimage place in Slovenian Istria.

Izola is a small fishing village. It was built on the limestone island, and from there, its name is derived, the medieval center is well preserved. It was settled in Roman times, in the present-day Simonovo Bay hotel complex, a rustic villa and the Halietum port from Roman times were discovered. The former factory of processing fish and fish cans resembles a rich fishing heritage.
