Here, over 40 different species of mammals including the Big 5 – elephant, lion, leopard, African buffalo, & rhinoceros – as well as 350 bird species, thrive in their natural habitat. Visitors get the opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in the wild with twice-daily guided game drives, nature walks, & once-in-a-lifetime elephant encounters.

Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kapama

Stop At: Kapama River Lodge Spa, Kapama Private Game Reserve, R40 Kruger National Park, Hoedspruit 1380 South Africa
Today we head from Johannesburg to Kapama River Lodge.

Your professional driver will collect you from your Johannesburg hotel at 06H00. The transfer is around 6 hours long and a comfort stop is taken halfway to Kapama.

Once arriving at Kapama you will have time to refresh, check-in and have Hi-tea/lunch. After lunch you will head out on an afternoon/sunset game drive- this will be your first opportunity to try and spot the BIG 5!

Dinner will be enjoyed at the lodge after your game drive!

Day 2: Safari Filled Day!

Waking up early with the birds, enjoy a cup of coffee before heading ours on a morning game drive.

The early drive allows an opportunity to witness the nocturnal animals going to bed and witness the bush come alive as the sun hits the grasslands.

After an incredible morning game drive breakfast is served at the lodge. The mid-morning and early afternoon is yours at leisure so why not soak up some rays our take a swim?

Another Afternoon/sunset drive will take place.

Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 3: Kapama to Johannesburg

Once again waking up with the call of the African bush, today you head out on your final morning game drive- giving you the last opportunity to fill up your cameras memory cards.

Once back at the lodge you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your professional driver takes you back to Johannesburg.
