7 Day - CAPE TOWN AND SURROUNDS - Action packed

We will enjoy a couple of scenic hours on Table Mountain and the cable cars and lunch at the Table mountain restaurant, Groot Constantia’s amazing wine tasting. A quick hop off at Kalk Bay for a must experience treat with some mouthwatering “Fish & Chips”. We enjoy Boulders Beach and our penguin friends in their Natural Habitat. Arriving at ‘ The World of Birds’ in Hout Bay, we enjoy the day viewing many different bird species, Monkey enclosure, mammals and more, a truly amazing experience! Barley and biltong tasting, chocolate tasting and a beer tasting at the Cape Brewing Company at Spice Route situated in Paarl. We will enjoy a dinner at Oyster Bar Tavern, which overlooks the harbour and False Bay, nestled by the Hottentots Holland Mountains and views of the Helderberg Mountains.

Itinerary

Day 1: Table Mountain - Cable cars + Photography

Stop At: Table Mountain National Park 8001 South Africa
Meet and greet at Cape Town international airport where XTREME SAFARI AFRICA will whisk you off to your first destination, the very much sought after, Table Mountain. We will enjoy a couple of scenic hours on Table Mountain and the cable cars and lunch at the Table mountain restaurant, then head of to Rondevlei for a bit of hippo spotting, Eland viewing and Bird watching. Head to backpackers unpack, quick refresh so we can enjoy the remainder of the evening viewing Cape Town V&A (Victoria and Alfred) Waterfront by night and enjoy a sundowner and quick meal on the outer deck. Are you still awake? Great! Let’s take a drive up to Signal hill and view the City lights at night and celebrate your arrival with a bottle or three of bubbly. Head back to Backpackers for a good night’s rest.

Day 2: Groot Constantia - Wine Tasting

Nothing like a great cup of coffee and a quick breakfast before we head out to Groot Constantia, steeped in history, where we will absorb a little bit of history and a lot of wine. Now that we are focused after Groot Constantia’s amazing wine tasting, we head off to a National Heritage sight namely Newlands Brewery where we experience a fun filled tour of the brewery and learn how they make their eight famous beers while savoring them with a awesome beer tasting and two complimentary drinks. We need to clear the heads a bit, so let’s head to the V&A Waterfront and enjoy selecting your own precious stones or gems at Scratch Patch and enjoy a ice cream from Creamery, (the best ice cream around) while we enjoy an extraordinary sunset. Weather permitting, winding down we head to backpackers and enjoy a South African Braaivleis and relax for remainder of the evening and discuss the itinerary.

Day 3: Muizenberg, Simons Town - Photography + Boulders Beach Penguins

Stop At: Muizenberg Fleamarket, Western Cape, South Africa, Muizenberg, Cape Town, 7945, South Africa
Morning Guys, lets enjoy a quick cuppa and head off with our picnic baskets/breakfast/brunch to Muizenberg. Today we enjoy sightseeing by means of a train trip, basically we hop on and off for a bit of adventure along this brilliant scenic route which stretches between Cape Town and Simons Town, a quick hop off at Kalk Bay for a must experience treat with some mouthwatering “Fish & Chips”, lets hop on again and head to Simonstown where we enjoy Boulders Beach and our penguin friends in their Natural Habitat. Meandering along the boardwalk we have plenty of time to shop at the craft markets and grab an ice scream while viewing the ocean, the scenic surrounds and nature at its best. Nothing is better than viewing a setting sun, so we will stop at Saveur Restaurant in the Marina and enjoy a light meal and sundowners. Okay guys it’s time to head back to the lodge for a good night’s rest after a fulfilled day.

Day 4: World of Birds Hout Bay - Photography

Stop At: World of Birds, Valley Road Coastal Route, Cape Town Central 7806 South Africa
Good morning friends, time to shake a leg and greet this day with much enthusiasm with a quick cuppa and a breakfast so we can get moving and enjoy our trip along the scenic marine drive along the Atlantic Coast between Hout Bay and Noordhoek. One of the best Marine drives in the world. Arriving at ‘ The World of Birds’ in Hout Bay, we enjoy the day viewing many different bird species, Monkey enclosure, mammals and more, a truly amazing experience! After our sightings and explorations we will grab a quick bite at the restaurant on site, don’t eat too much otherwise the bobbing of the cataman might make you woozy on our next adventure to seal Island departing from Hout Bay fishing harbour at 15h30. I don’t think we can fit any more activities into this day, so let’s head back to the lodge, grab a couple of pizza’s and rest up for tomorrows excursions.

Day 5: Cape Brewing Company, Fairview Wine Estate - Wine tasting

Stop At: Cape Brewing Company Suid-Agter Paarl Road, Suider Paarl, Paarl 7646 South Africa
Good morning, you know the regular drill, a quick breakfast and cuppa, and then we are off to our next destination to tantalize and tickle your taste buds. Intrigued? You should be. Today sees us experiencing superb wine tastings, and in addition a variety of tasting experiences such as Barley and biltong tasting, chocolate tasting and a beer tasting at the Cape Brewing Company at Spice Route situated in Paarl. (It’s your choice to eat breakfast or make this your breakfast, a fair warning). The only tasting we did not experience is a cheese tasting! That means we will have to pop over to Fairview Wine Estate to experience their delectable goat cheese tastings and more. If you really feel up to it, you may enjoy Fairview’s wine tasting in a relaxed environment. Thanks in advance for being such good sports, tonight we will connect a bit on a social level and enjoy a relaxed braaivleis with South Africa’s traditional “pap & wors”, along with the bottle of wine you purchased at the wine farms. (I recommend a delicate Pinot Noir or a Shiraz). Rest time.

Day 6: Gordons Bay harbour, Hottentots Holland Mountains - Photography

Stop At: Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, R45, Grabouw South Africa
Good morning, today just a quick coffee, we will grab a breakfast en route to The Cheetah Outreach in Paardevlei, where you can view the cheetah cubs or the adults. An amazing experience, we recommend that you experience the latter. Lunch time sees us enjoying a picnic on the beach followed by a relaxing walk, experience the gentleness of the tide as the seawater’s ebb and flow tickles and cools your toes, sinking your feet into the white sea sand while meandering along the shoreline. Completely relaxed we drive to Gordons Bay harbour, you will experience a beautiful sunset, a perfect photographic opportunity from the harbour wall or the jetty. We will enjoy a dinner at Oyster Bar Tavern, which overlooks the harbour and False Bay, nestled by the Hottentots Holland Mountains and views of the Helderberg Mountains. A lovely evening drive back to the lodge allows for a majestic view of the city lights.

Day 7: Camps Bay

Good morning guys. Today we sadly say farewell to all our guests over a breakfast at La Bella, situated in Camps Bay with a wonderful oceanic view. Thereafter transfer to the airport takes place and we bid you farewell and a safe journey.
