After introductions and pick-up from your hotel, transfer to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. You will be paired with mountain bikes and equipment. Cape Point is simply sensational, a must-see on any visit to the Mother City. A towering headland at the end of the peninsula, it is the meeting point of the cold Benguela current and warm Agulhas current as the western and eastern stretches of coast collide in spectacular fashion. It is the most southwestern point in Africa and abounds with indigenous fynbos (fine bush) of the Cape Floral Kingdom, a World Heritage Site that is the smallest, yet most diverse, of the world's floral kingdoms.

Join your guide on an adventure through the nature reserve, learning about the unique fauna and flora of the region. Cape Mountain Zebra, baboons, ostrich, eland, red hartebeest, bontebok and many more antelope as well as abundant bird life and even lynx and genet may be spotted among the bush scrub. Make sure to be careful of the tortoises crossing the road! The sensational vistas of the shimmering Atlantic Ocean beneath craggy cliffs and sheltering secluded beaches will simply take your breath away.

After an invigorating ride through the nature reserve, break for lunch at the scenic tidal pools of Buffels Baai (Buffalo Bay), keeping an eye out for Southern Right Whales during season (June - November). It was too often covered in cloud to be effective and is now merely a relic with a new lighthouse having been built in the reserve. For the more active, join a guided hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope, a phenomenal 1-hour stroll which showcases the unsurpassed beauty of this hidden gem at the most southern tip of Africa. Break at the beautiful Dias Beach and continue onward to the southwestern most point in Africa, as the wind blows past us unruffled and the sun shines unabated.

After the biking and hiking adventure, you are transferred back to Cape Town, having experienced the sights and sounds of Cape Point in a unique and eco-friendly manner.
