Elgin Express - Cool Wines Cool Trains

Enjoy a day in the Elgin Valley. 

Ceres Railway Company's steam train will transport you from the Royal Cape Yacht Club to the scenic Elgin Valley, famous for its cool climate wines. 

The steam train stops at the Elgin Railway Market where you can enjoy craft beer, food stalls, climbing walls, segway tours, beautiful G&T at the L-Gin bar. Food, drinks and activities purchased at the Market is for your own account.

After lunch we leave, by bus, on a beautiful tour through the Elgin valley to enjoy the cool climate wines of the region. First up, chocolate and wine pairing at Paul Wallace wines. From here we go to Almenkerk Winery for wine tasting.

We leave Elgin around 16h00 and will be back at Cape Royal Yacht Club around 17h30.. 

Elgin Express – Inbound train:

 0800       Ceres Railway Company - Train depart Royal Cape Yacht Club

1130       Arrive at Elgin Train Station. Spend lunch at Elgin Railway Market.

1330       Depart by chartered bus to Paul Wallace for chocolate and wine pairing.

1500       Depart to Almenkerk for wine tasting.

1630       Depart Almenkerk to Royal Cape Yacht Club.

1730       Arrive Royal Cape Yacht Club

0800       Train depart Royal Cape Yacht Club by chartered bus.

0930       Arrive at Paul Wallace for chocolate and wine pairing

1130       Almenkerk wine tasting.

1230       Arrive at Elgin Train Station. Spend lunch at Elgin Railway Market.
