⭐ Hike Table Mountain's Devil's Peak

Tick off a Cape Town bucket list item. We hike up Devil's Peak, Cape Town's best kept secret within Table Mountain National Park. Devil's Peak offers similar, if not better viewing opportunities to Table Mountain without the hustle. The hike takes about 5 hours in total.

We take an adventurous route up Devil's Peak which takes about 5 hours to the top and back. We take it slow and steady for the whole hike with ample opportunity to take in the views and take pictures. It's about 2 hours hike to the summit, where we will stop for a break to admire the panoramic views and a quick picnic before heading back down.

We take an adventurous route up Devil's Peak. The hike to the top is uphill almost all of the way. It starts with a switchback rocky path up to the saddle. After a short break on the saddle, the path turns steep up towards the peak with some loose rocky sections underfoot. We will take it slow and steady for the whole hike with ample opportunity to take in the views or take pictures. 

After about 2 hours of hiking we reach the summit and spend some time at the top to take a break and enjoy the full panoramic views of the city. After our summit stop we head back down the same way we came up. Coming down the steep section can be tricky with the loose rocks so we take it slow down here. After than we head down the rocky steps all the way back to the car.
