Inshore Fishing (eg Yellowtail or Snoek)

Yellowtail are the most popular catch. They are also known as "Yellowtail Kingfish" are found in big shoals around Cape Point and surrounding areas. They put up a great fight and are commonly served as "catch of the day" in most restaurants, making this fish species one of our favorite to target!

Katonkel are often caught when there are Yellowtail around. This fish also puts up a good fight, although it is slightly smaller than the typical Yellowtail.

Snoek are seasonal, but can be abundant when they arrive! One of the most exciting fish to catch, as they will literally bite anything shiny when they are around! For their weight, they will really challenge you as you try to bring them in!

Our boat is a brand new 28' GeCat, with ample shelter, comfortable seating and an onboard toilet. A walkaround configuration allows you to sit in front of the boat or the back, as you prefer. Limited numbers can also view the sights from our rooftop viewing platform, with seating for 3 passengers.

Itinerary

Our Inshore Fishing excursion gives you and your friends/family the chance to catch whichever fish are available on the day. Typically, this could include Yellowtail, Katonkel, Snoek or a variety of reef fish.

Starting times varying according to the seasons. We will confirm the times the day before the trip.
