Madikwe Game Reserve is a conservation area in South Africa’s North West Province, bordering Botswana. The reserve’s grassland, forest and rocky Tshwene Tshwene hills are home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards and rhinos, plus endangered wild dogs. Hundreds of bird species include ostrich, vultures and the large kori bustard. Animals often gather at the Madikwe Dam to drink at sunset.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Madikwe Luxury Game Reserve

Pass By: Madikwe Game Reserve, Madikwe Game Reserve, North-West Province
We enter the reserve in the early afternoon. Check-in at the luxury lodge. After settling in and some free time you will enjoy high tea and light lunch.
You will have the opportunity to take a walk on the private trail, visit the underground hide and observe activities around the waterhole.

In the late afternoon, you will be taken on a 3-hour open vehicle game drive which includes a stop for sun-downer drinks.
After the game drive, you will have time to freshen up and enjoy drinks at the bar. You will enjoy a sumptuous dinner and evening free time. Overnight in your well-appointed room in the luxury lodge.

Day 2: Wildlife activities in Madikwe Game Reserve

Pass By: Madikwe Game Reserve, Madikwe Game Reserve, North-West Province
We get off to an early morning start when we meet for light refreshments, tea/coffee followed by 3-hour Game Drive in an open land cruiser (tea/coffee stop en route). After the early morning game drive, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast. After this, you have plenty of free time to enjoy activities at the lodge. These include relaxing at the poolside, swimming, sunbathing, observing the water hole, taking walks on the private trails and visiting the underground hide.

In the early afternoon, you will enjoy high tea and a light lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will go on a 3-hour game drive with a stop for sundown drinks. In the evening you can enjoy quality time, relax at the bar and enjoy a great dinner. Overnight in your comfortable and well-appointed room.

Day 3: Returning to Johannesburg

Pass By: Madikwe Game Reserve, Madikwe Game Reserve, North-West Province
We meet in the early morning for light refreshments, tea/coffee followed by a 3-hour Game drive in an open land cruiser (tea/coffee stop en route). After your morning breakfast, you will check out. Our driver will pick you up and drive you back to Johannesburg. Scheduled stops on the way back. The drop will be late afternoon at an arranged location in Johannesburg.
