Barcelona Trekking tour to Pedraforca - Private

We will know Pedraforca which is one of the most emblematic mountains of Catalonia (Spain). It has a very peculiar shape due to its two peaks separated by a large hill. Its best known view is that seen from its eastern slope. Considered a natural reserve of national interest. It is a particularly attractive mountain formation due to its U-shaped profile, a peculiarity that gives it its name. The Catalan words ‘pedra’ and ‘forca’ mean, respectively, ‘stone’ and ‘gallows’ in Spanish

Walk through the Tartera de Gósol a path once filled with pebbles and small rocks that facilitated the road, currently with some erosion due to the activity of hikers in the area.

 After a trip of approximately two hours, we arrived at Gósol, a small town located very close to Pedraforca. There we prepare for the walk we will do.

It is perhaps the most famous mountain in Catalonia after Montserrat. Its twin peaks, connected by a small horizontal section, give it a characteristic fork shape that inspired its name.

Stop At: Centre Picasso i Gosol, Placa Major,1, 25716 Gosol Spain

We will follow the itinerary of the Tartera de Gósol, a 3-hour walk with medium difficulty. Departure from Gósol towards Cap de Sedis, where the ascent begins by the tartera, a path once filled with pebbles and small rocks that facilitated the road, currently with some erosion due to the activity of hikers in the area.

Stop At: Pollegó Inferior del Pedraforca, 08697 Saldes, Barcelona, Spain

We continue towards Enforcadura, there we ascend on the left towards Pollegó Superior, with 2506 meters is the highest point of the massif, very close to the north peak of Pedraforca (2438 meters).

Stop At: Centre Picasso i Gosol, Placa Major,1, 25716 Gosol Spain

We return to Gósol, where a traditional Catalan meal will take place
