Explore this tiny village for a look into mountain life. Hike the well-traveled path to the Moorish castle for breathtaking views, followed by a tapas tasting. We can also include a visit to the Caves of San Josep, where you can take a boat ride along the longest subterranean river in Europe.

Stop At: Sagunto, Sagunto, Province of Valencia, Valencian Country

(Roman/Jewish Sagunto + 13th Century Monastery + Caves of San Josep)
Discover the only remaining Jewish historical sites in the region and the largest Roman fort on Iberian peninsula with stunning archaeological remains. We will also stop along the way my own village of El Puig to see the 13th-century monastery, which is still in operation. We can also stop at the Caves of San Josep during this excursion.

Just an hour and a half North West of Valencia is the UNESCO site of the medieval walled village, Albarracin. On the way there, we stop in the small provincial capital of Teruel for panoramic, cliff-top views. In Albaraccin, we can choose between a stroll along the ramparts or a short hike through one of the many routes dedicated to pre-historic cave art.

(Hilltop Xativa Castle + L'Albufera Nature Preserve)
Visit this stunning medieval hilltop castle, complete with a quaint historical village center and a break for local lunch. We also have the option to stop L'Albufera, our protected nature park and bird sanctuary. You can take an optional boat ride along the tranquil lagoon, if you would like.

Journey to one of Spain's most beautiful towns, carved into the side of a mountain, with a hilltop Moorish castle and tunneled village caves. Depending on our timing, we could also stop at famed, medicinal fountain of Siete Aguas, said to relieve ailments of all kinds.
