In Quesería Doña Francisca, we preserve the traditional techniques of cheese making, where tradition is mixed with innovation.
However, our facilities have been remodeled and adapted to new uses and concepts without losing their good craftsmanship and traditional.
We offer the possibility of a guided tour of our facilities, where we will show you the process of making our cheeses, with special emphasis on the Torta del Casar D.O.P. Later, you will go to the tasting room where you can taste ten of the varieties that we produce. You will learn to taste them to enjoy 100% of their properties. We will explain the most special characteristics of each of them: flavors, aromas and textures.
During the visit to our factory you can learn the whole process of making artisan cheese and you can learn to taste them.

In Quesería Doña Francisca, we preserve the traditional techniques of cheese making, where tradition is mixed with innovation. However, our facilities have been remodeled and adapted to new uses and concepts without losing their good craftsmanship and traditional.
We offer the possibility of a guided tour of our facilities, where we will show you the cheese making process. During the tour we will show you and explain how we make the different varieties that we produce.
The whole interior of the factory will be visited (rooms of: milk reception, production, brine, ripening chambers and expedition room) We will make special emphasis on the preparation of the Torta del Casar, an exquisite product considered a gastronomic reference of the region and that has the distinction of Protected Designation of Origin.
They will also have the possibility to carry out the cheese making workshop, where they can learn to make their own cheese in a totally practical way. The workshop is taught by our master cheesemaker who will explain the entire process of making the product.
When the tour of the interior of the factory and, where appropriate, the cheese making workshop has been completed, you will go to the tasting room where you can taste ten varieties of the products we make. We will explain the properties and the most special characteristics of each of them: flavors, aromas and textures. The cheese tasting can be accompanied by a glass of water / wine from the region.
