Valencia is a vibrant city full of life. It was also in the Middle Ages. Nobles, merchants of the Silk Road, serranos from the outskirts strolled through its streets ... A cultural amalgam that gave our urban fabric a variety of colors. But Valencia also had a dark part linked to executions and practices closely related to the inquisition and torture.

The death penalty was in force in the city until the mid-19th century. The large squares we are walking through today: Almoina, the Mercado ... have witnessed for the longest periods the cruelest torture and the bloodiest deaths.
