Jewish History of Seville

I am a historian by training and I live in Seville for several years. One of the things that struck me when I arrived was the tourist center of the city called "La Juderia", the Jewish quarter. Certainly, these charming streets and small shops are very attractive. However, little or no Jewish history is spoken of. So I started to take a particular interest in this part of the story to find a way to interpret it and come out of your stay in Seville with a piece of history from one of the three communities monotheists having cohabited at one time in history. on this piece of territory.

Itinerary

We will take a chronological walk in the Jewish quarter of Seville in search of the material and especially intangible heritage of the Jewish history of Seville through these less known tourist streets. We can stop at your request during the walk for a drink in the bar!

More concretely, we will see the remains of the wall of the Jewish quarter and pass on the sites of the old synagogues and especially we will get lost but not too much! in the Jewish quarter with stories of the Jewish past in Seville.
