From the 80s this marginal neighborhood began to open its first stores and businesses dedicated to the LGTB collective such as Cafe Figueroa, Black & White or Berkana Bookstore.

Today it is one of the most famous and important Gay neighborhoods in Europe where every July has its great celebration with the Gay Pride Festival.

The streets are filled with color and joy along with its most varied shops from sex shops, art galleries, tattoo shops or religious buildings.

Through this walk we can discover a neighborhood that is unique for its history but also for its architecture and above all modern environment adapted to the new times.

We will also get to know new street market concepts such as the San Anton Market or its commercial activity on Fuencarral Street or nightlife with Hortaleza Street.
