Park Güell skip-the-lines guided tour

Get to know the stories and origins of this unique urban project and its modernist decor, especially the technique of "trencadís", and enjoy the view of the city of Barcelona from this hill.
Eusebi Güell gave Gaudí the assignment of developing an estate for wealthy families on a large property he had acquired in Barcelona. Güell wanted to recreate the British residential parks, which is why he named it Park Güell, in English.
The high price of the properties and the lack of a suitable transport system made this project unviable. The park then became a large private garden for Güell and after his death, this property became a municipal park in 1926.
This ideal combination of Catalan Modern Architecture, vegetation and landscaping was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 and it is now one of the major attractions in the city.
