Itinerary

Pass By: Olot, Olot, Province of Girona, Catalonia

Olot is the main town in La Garrotxa. We will only see the town from the car but it is a very informative Museum of the Volcaones, very interesting for the small kids.

Stop At: Volcan de Montsacopa, Olot Spain

This is the 1st volcano we will climb up. It is not very long hike but quite steepy. It is not recommended this daytrip for people with reduced mobility or heart problems.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Volcan de Santa Margarida, Santa Pau Spain

This volcano is less steepy and it is a church in the crater. Anyway also requires a bit of efford and the Garrotxa region is pretty cold in winter time (December-March).

Stop At: Olot, Olot, Province of Girona, Catalonia

Lunch time. For those they want to try local food after the hiking. I recommend a very nice set menu with local food (meat, vegetables, soup, dessert...).
For others they don't want to eat in the restaurant, I can let some free time for a picnic with the food you have previously bought and carried.

This town was built over the basaltic rock's hill about XV century. We will see the nicest streets, views, and you can buy some typical cookies from the region.
