You expert, local guide will take you through the ancient city streets and through our most treasured museums, including the 15th Century Silk Exchange and the L'Almoina Archeological Museum, the entrances to which are included in the price of this tour. Get a true taste of Valencia inside our lively Central Market, where you will mingle with local vendors and sample the best small snacks the market has to offer. Please note that the Central Market is closed on Sundays and daily after 3PM, but Valencia Private Tours will supplement the market tasting for tapas tasting at one of our favorite local restaurants.

Starting at your preferred time and a central location of your choice, your guide will lead you through the ancient streets of the historic city center, recounting stories from the Roman, Moorish, and Medieval eras. You will have the chance to marvel at some of the most stunning architecture in Spain, including Roman ruins dating back from 138 B.C. as well as Valencia's towering cathedral, which, according to legend, is home to the Holy Grail.

Descend into the L'Almiona Archeological Museum with your expert guide, where you will see first-hand the uncovered Roman ruins that made up the city streets more than a thousand years ago. Wander through the 15th Century rooms and soaring columns that hold up the dome of La Lonja Silk Exchange, a UNESCO protected World Heritage Site and a major center of commerce in the ancient world. 

Enter into the the bustling Mercado Central, or Central Market, where your expert guide will maneuver through the locals doing their weekly shopping to the best vendors in the market. You'll sample a medley of famous Valencian tapas, including locally grown olives, stuffed peppers, jamón, a smattering of cheeses, and, of course, at least one wine. Please note that the Central Market is closed on Sundays and daily after 3PM, but Valencia Private Tours will supplement the market tasting for a tapas tasting at one of our favorite local restaurants.

At the end of your 3 hour tour, your guide will drop you off at a location of your choice in the historical center, a great place for shopping, lunch, or more exploration.
