This course offers an unique opportunity to paint flowers, leaves and fruits in a stunning setting in southern Spain, working with one of the leading Botanical Artists, Jessica R Shepherd. There are 3 days' tuition during this long weekend, and plenty of time for developing your own work.

Itinerary

Over the 3 days of the course, guests will have the opportunity to learn how to paint our beautiful Spanish flowers, local fresh fruits, leaves and seeds in an idyllic setting. You will learn more about the structure of flowers and how to use different paper types, brushes and paints. During the 3 days, Jessica (our course tutor) will show you how to paint black backgrounds in watercolour, how to light subjects and how to mix natural greens and greys. You'll be left to develop your own work under Jess’s supervision over the course and will be guided through the technique of burnishing once finished. This course is suitable for all levels.
