Itinerary

After a cinnamon infused juice, we welcome visitors to spend an hour or so learning about the local cultivation and peeling of Sri Lankan cinnamon on the hills of Gradely Estate. Your visit culminates in refreshments at the top of the estate and the opportunity to explore the artisanal cinnamon teas Gradely produces.

Either Aaron, our founder and chairman, or a knowledgeable member of estate management is on hand to conduct a guided tour. This touches on not only the growth, grading and processing here, but also the crop’s colonial history on the island. See our skilled staff in action at the peeling and extraction shed and try your own hands at our peaceful hilltop Ambalama {traditional village meeting place}. From here, soul-brightening views stretch to the Indian Ocean and your walk is rewarded with refreshments or a tea tasting – cinnamon-themed of course!
