Galle is the regulatory capital of the Southern Territory and the fourth biggest city in Sri Lanka. Before the appearance of the Portuguese in the sixteenth century, Galle was the principal port on the island and has arrived at the tallness of its improvement in the eighteenth century during the Dutch provincial time frame.

The Dutch Reformed Church is very old and has beautiful architecture. Located inside Galle Fort, the church has high historic value with a lot of tombs inside.

Another very old building in Galle Fort is Dutch Government House. his locked site is perfect to click some pictures and show them off to your friends later. This serves as another good example of Dutch architecture and holds great historical importance.

Situated near the Galle Fort Lighthouse, Meera Mosque is an extremely beautiful mosque. The mosque reflecting Dutch architectural style, it was built around 300 years ago as per the locals.

Built in the late 19th-century, The Galle Fort Clock Tower is a four-storied monument made up of stone. It was built to recognize renowned Colonial Surgeon Dr. Antonisz, also a representative of the Legislative Council. This beautiful old site is a must-visit.
