You will be picked for a roughly 4-hour journey in a privately air-conditioned vehicle to Sigiriya from Colombo, Negombo, Mount Lavinia, Kandy or Kalutara hotel.

You will climb the metal steps to the top of the rock which is a home to a ruined fifth-century fortress. At this point, you are able to view the frescoes and explore the relics on the summit. All this is at the sight of the Sigiriya Rock, a granite outcrop.

You can have lunch at the Oakray Restaurant in Inamuluwa, a visit to the UNESCO-listed rock temple of Dambulla: the five hill caves that are converted into a first centuary temple with Buddha statues.
