Sigiriya Rock Museum and Dambulla Full Day Tour With Lunch

Visit the two most important UNESCO World Heritage sites, Sigiriya and Dambulla with a professional guide.

 First you will visiting the Golden Cave Temple. This complex dates back to the first century ECB. It is the most notable cave temple in Sri Lanka with five caves, carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. Inside the walls of the caves there are colorful images of gods and goddesses, Lord Buddha and bodhisattvas.

Sigiriya Rock.

Sigiriya is famous for its' palace ruins on top of a massive 200 meter high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures.

The rock itself is a lava plug left over from an ancient long extinct volcano. It is also renowned for its ancient pintings (frescoes).

The caves, built at the base of 150m high rock during the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa era.
