Whale watching in Sri Lanka is an amazing activity to partake in, and is even more breathtaking when done through an aircraft as it does not disturb the whale’s natural habitat. Observing the majestic nature of the largest mammal in the world, the Blue Whale, from an aerial point of view leaves passengers with an incomparable experience and understanding of the true magnitude of the beauty and grace of the species.

Summer Dew Tours operate whale watching flights with a colaborat Domestic air Operator who was approved by Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka. 45 minutes of flight time will be for whale watching

Flights will be operating from Koggala airport (passenger arrival/ departure through Air Force Camp, Kogala).

Our Aircraft and Passengers are insured as per the international standards/ guidelines.

Observing the Largest Mammal on earth from the air is an exciting experience. flying above them won't disturb their natural environment but offers you a unique perspective and understanding of the magnitude and beauty of this graceful creature. considering the fact that the mammal can be almost 30 meters in length and 200 tons in weight, it will certainly be an enduring sight for you to treasure.

We operate High Winged aircraft, which allows each passenger their own window seat and optimal, unobstructed viewing. 

Flight will be Operating from Koggala airport (passenger arrival / Departure through Air force camp Koggala)

Whale Watching flight will be 45 minutes.

we use bot Cessna-206 and Cessa-172 aircrafts

flight Schedule (Departure time) 8.00am, 9.15am, 10.30am,11.45am, 100pm and 2.15pm.

whale watching will be conducted at a height of 150 meters (500 feet) giving passengers the opportunity to clearly see and photography these incredible creatures.

all whale watching flights are carried out in accordance with marine Mammal regulations.

Pre Flight Safety Brief will be Given and each Passenger will have their own life Jacket and a personal locator beacons

Our well trained and experienced Pilots will be your marine Naturalist and he will take questions During and after the Flight.
