Daytour to 2 unique zoos - gorgeous animals on land & in seawater!

Visit two unique and amazing zoos in one day. Nordens Ark works to preserve endangered animals. They have about 80 species and breeds from all over the world! At Havets Hus you'll experience fantastic marine life up close, and also from under the water!

This minitour goes to the wonderful zoo Nordens Ark and the mesmerizing salt water aquarium Havets Hus. A perfect tour for adults, kids & youth - maybe you're having a winterbreak?

You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the zoos, the gorgeous animals, have meals and fika. Both destinations have fun and interesting daily activities you can join to really experience the animals and expand your knowledge about them.

As we will be travelling about 1,5 h in our car from Gothenburg, we'll of course have a tasty "fika-break" along our way, in the small village Ljungskile.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Nordens Ark, Aaby Saeteri, Hunnebostrand 456 93 Sweden

Nordens Ark can be translated to The Ark of the North - Once you have visit and read a bit about the amazing zoo you will realize why they have chosen that name.

Lunch is available from 11.30 am to 3 pm at the hotel restaurant and the hotel café is open during the parks opening hours.
(Not included in the tour price).

The restaurants at Nordens Ark vary the menu regarding to the season and the chefs work with locally produced ingredients. They strive to use Swedish and locally produced meat and dairy.

You can join a presentation of:

* 12.30 pm Carnivore of the day:
- Monday: Pallas cat
- Thursday: Snow leopard

* 2.30 pm Farm life

The information is in Swedish but the guide can answer questions in English.

The park also has a shop selling soft toys, clothes, books and a lot more. They also stock hand-made woollen products from the Snow Leopard Trust, which is working to save Mongolia’s snow leopards.

Havets Hus (translated to: The house of the Sea) is located by the sea at Gullmarsfjorden and is today one of Bohuslän’s most visited destinations, with 80 000 thousand visitors per year. Here you can find easy going experiences for the whole family.

”When you enter Havets Hus you will be surrounded by almost 30 aquariums, some really big and some a bit smaller. They are all filled with exciting creatures. Touch starfish, crabs, and hermit crabs in the petting aquarium. Look at sharks, skates and congers swimming above your head in the tunnel aquarium, or sit down for a moment in the collection hall Blågyltan and be imprisoned by the marine life of the cylinder aquarium.”
