4-Day Selous Private Safari

 Selous has the finest unspoiled virgin bush, uninhabited and little touched by human interference. As a result making it an ideal peaceful remedy spot. Visitors will find themselves in a pristine wilderness far away from the established tourist routes.

Selous boost larger population of Elephants as well as large numbers of Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodile and endangered Wild dog. Commonly seen are pride of Lion, Bush buck, Impala, Warthogs, Ostrich, Giraffe, Eland, Baboon, Zebra, Hyena, Kudu, rare sable antelope and Leopard. In Selous there are more than 400 species of bird life: Fish eagle, Kingfisher, Secretary bird, Sunbird, Hammer kop, Red & Yellow bill stork, Open bill stork, Weavers, Water birds, Marabou stork, Vulture’s etc. In short, the variety of the wildlife to be explored are endless.

Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es salaam to selous

Stop At: Selous Game Reserve, Selous Game Reserve, Lindi Region
Depart from Dar es Salaam, either a hotel or the airport, in a four-wheel-drive vehicle to Selous Game Reserve. The journey takes five to six hours on tracks and tarmac road, passing through villages and picturesque landscapes along the way. Check-in, embark on a private boat safari, then relax at the riverside bar, and have dinner on the banks of the Rufiji River.

Day 2: Full day game drive

Stop At: Selous Game Reserve, Selous Game Reserve, Lindi Region
After breakfast, depart on a full private day game drive including a picnic lunch. Sightings could include Elephants, Hippo, African Wild Dog, Cape Buffalo, Zebra, Giraffe, Elephant, Leopard and a variety of antelope species. Both predator and prey are frequently sighted.

Day 3: Full day game drive

Day 4: Walking/Dar es Salaam

After breakfast,go for walking safari,return journey to Dar es Salaam by vehicle, five to six hours on tracks and tarmac road, using the same route as day 1. Drop-off can be at the airport or a hotel.
