Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day

Welcome to Tanzania. We’re glad you’ve made it all the way from Abroad, now let’s get down to business: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by an Edstates Africa Tours & Travel driver and transferred to your hotel where you can rest, relax enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool or explore Arusha and the surrounding areas on one of our day tours, the choice is yours.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire NP

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
Collection from your hotel in Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, for a full day of game drive. The name of the park is taken from the river, which is the only source of water for the wild animals that live here during the dry season.

Tarangire National Park has some of the highest population density of elephants as compared to anywhere in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit.

Tarangire National park is as well one of the best places to see lots of giraffes, monkeys, impalas, lions, leopards, and many birds. You will later drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast, we depart to Lake Manyara for a full day game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is the unspoiled paradise of groundwater forest fed by underground springs and teeming with wildlife such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, and some of the largest baboon troupes in Africa.

It is where you will also see the iconic tree-climbing lions. Lake Manyara has one of the largest populations of waterbirds in Africa at over 400 species, including flamingos and pelicans.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we drive towards Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge Museum where there will be a stop at the Crater viewpoint before we proceed to Serengeti.
Olduvai Gorge museum is where the famous archeologists Dr. Leaky and his wife discovered the early fossils of mankind. From there we will depart to Serengeti National Par for game drive en-route.

Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value. It is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on the earth-the great migration of wildebeest and zebra.

The park is famous for the migration involving about 1.5 million herbivores and thousands of predators fleeing drought in search of fresh water and grazing. The resident population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds is also impressive. We will then drive to Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti NP to Ngorongoro Game Reserve

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, it will be another morning game drive in Serengeti National Park as we drive towards Ngorongoro Crater rim for overnight and dinner. Our professional and experienced driver will guide you through Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater and explain Enroute the wildlife and natural beauty of Tanzania.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
We wake up early in the morning and eat breakfast before making our way into the Ngorongoro Crater for the game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive intact and unfilled volcanic caldera.

The Crater is famous for Africa’s best game viewing as there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. You will descend 610 meters into the Crater where your safari truly begins. Spot the endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grant’s & Thomson’s gazelle & giant tusked elephants plus lions & leopards, cheetahs as well as scavengers such as spotted hyenas, jackals & wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

In the afternoon ascend to the crater rim later depart to Arusha your final evening.
