7 Days Tanzania Northern Circuit Adventure Camping Safari
Camping Safaris are for people who like to experience East Africa off the beaten track while camping in remote and less explored areas together with or without other participants. This Northern Circuit Safari offers some of the worlds most diverse safari experiences, consisting of national parks, game reserves, conservation areas and private concessions. Among these are the world-famous and iconic Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, and of course their less known but equally stunning neighbours, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drive, Tarangire s the sixth largest national park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. Tarangire is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire National Park Campsite
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After a short morning game drive in Tarangire, proceed to one of the natural wonders of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day crater tour. This is world heritage site, the incomparable Ngorongoro crater is the worlds largest caldera*. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters high and presenting a sheer drop down to a wide open space of some 246 square km, and you may see everything from elephant to lion, and if youre lucky, the near-extinct black rhino, all amongst large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite overlooking the crater
Day 3: Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge
Drive to the Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge (Millions of years ago, the site was that of a large lake, the shores of which were covered with successive deposits of volcanic ash. Excavation work there was pioneered by Louis and Mary Leakey beginning in 1931. The Serengeti National park covers 14,763 km² (5,700 square miles) of grassland plains and savanna as well as river trine forest and woodlands. The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the national Tanzania and Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Masai Mara National Park reserve. Day 4:Serengeti Plains
Full day game driving in the Serengeti plains, the endless, almost treeless grassland of the south is the most emblematic scenery of the park. This is where the wildebeest breed, as they remain in the plains from December to May. Other hoofed animals- zebra, gazelle, impala, hartebeest, topi, buffalo, waterbuck also occur in huge numbers during the wet season. Dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite
Day 5Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Full day in the Serengeti National Park game driving, dinner and overnight at Ikoma Bush campsite
Day 6; Serengeti to Lake Manyara
Morning walk at the border of the park lead by a national park ranger (optional) then drive from Serengeti to the edge of the Rift valley. Dinner and overnight at Jambo campsite near Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 7: Lake Manyara to Arusha
After a leisure breakfast, game drive at Lake Manyara national park for game drive, Lake Manyara is a shallow freshwater lake in Tanzania, afternoon return to Arusha.
