Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Kilimanjaro International Airport, Transfer to Arusha

Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are picked up and transferred your accommodation. Depending on the time of arrival, your safari manager with a your safari guide will be on-site to brief you on what to expect on a day today basis for your 5 days Tanzania safari tour.

For late arrivals, briefing is done early morning before starting your 5 days Tanzania adventure

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
The journey to the wilderness starts after breakfast. We'll start with a 2.5hour drive to Lake Manyara national park gate.Our driver will drop to complete the formalities and from then the adventure begins. A big number of elephants, so many giraffes; zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, and warthog, small known shy Kik’s dik dik as well as Klipspringer along the ramps of the escarpment. Leopards are hosted within the broken forests and escarpment, healthy lions that are widely known for their tree climbing pranks. The adventure continues till late evening when we find our way to the lodge. A well deserved hot shower then dinner before bed.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
A 6 am wake up call will be followed by breakfast then departure towards Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.

Day 4: Serengeti

Stop At: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa, across rivers and over numerous small villages.
We do an after breakfast game viewing drive following the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attract a number of lion and some formidably large cobras. Kopjes are weathered granite outcrops, scattered around the plains, most of which are miniature ecosystems, providing shade and drinking water in pools left in the rock after the rains. This makes the kopjes particularly good for spotting wildlife in the dry seasons – including lions, which like to lie in wait for animals coming to drink!

In the afternoon, we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. We then proceed to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
An early departure from the lodge is required to beat the crowd of his highly visited African attraction and the world’s largest inactive, unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera. We drive on the crater rim and down the descent road some 600 meter below. The Crater’s resident wildlife includes some of the last remaining black rhinos in Africa, buffalos, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. We spend several hours viewing wildlife on the Crater floor before your drive back to Arusha and further to Kilimanjaro International airport for those with departures flight on the same day.

Day 6: Tarangire

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
We enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge. We will then transfer back to Arusha/Moshi. Upon arrival in Arusha will we have lunch and then we will end our African safari adventure. Late afternoon, we are transferred back to Arusha.

Day 7: Depart
