8 Days in Tanzania

the adventure in the wilds for 6 days and you will have an opportunity to meet indigenous tribes of Hadzabe, one of the last surviving hunter-gatherer tribes in the world, and to meet their neighbors, the Datoga peoples. Men will huntwith them and women will experience the normal routine of Hadzabe women stay behind to take care of children and household.
Later on you will explore the Arusha city in depth visiting the clock tower, local markets and museum where you can buy souvenir for your family and friend back home. You will also visit Marangu Waterfalls, coffee plantation and see the Mount Kilimanjaro. This trip can be changed according to a group request and there is room of additional activities or days.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha Town

Stop At: Kilimanjaro International Airport, Kilimanjaro Airport Rd, Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, Tanzania. After clearing customs, Connect African Safaris’ driver will be waiting for you, holding a sign of your Company’s name or name of your group leader and then transfer you to Mvuli Lodge for an overnight.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 2: Arusha-Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
Pick up: After breakfast our accredited guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and discuss your day plan. You will start your journey to Tarangire National Park for the whole day game drive.
Activity: Tarangire national Park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including cheetah, lions, leopard and hyena and elephants. The park is also host to a number of rare species including eland and gerenuk tranquil oasis overlooking the rolling plains. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. In the evening, your driver will take you back to Karatu for overnight stay at Marera Lodge.

Early evening drive to Karatu at your chosen accommodation, for evening leisure and hot dinner accompanied with a talk of many fantastic experiences of the day.

Day 3: Karatu– Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
Today you’re off to the famous Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. It is known of its natural beauty and breathtaking display of wildlife everywhere.
After breakfast, our driver will pick you from the lodge with packed lunch boxes and set off on the long journey towards Serengeti National Park. Along the way as far as your eyes can see, view the sheer vastness of Africa’s open plains unfolds before you.
Activity: In the afternoon, we reach Serengeti. Home to elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos and crocodiles. The Serengeti is also famous as a stage for the great wildebeest migration, which estimated to include over a million wildebeest and around 200,000 zebra. You will continue with game drive till Lunch time. After your hot lunch you will proceed with your afternoon game drive to sunset in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide will drive you back for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp, which is inside the park for evening leisure and hot dinner accompanied with a talk of many fantastic experiences of the day.

Day 4: Serengeti NP –Ngorongoro NP

Stop At: Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Arusha Region
Early breakfast at the lodge,
Pick up: Our guide will pick you from the camp in the morning and take you to morning game drive in Serengeti then drive towards Ngorongoro.
Activity: We make the most of the morning enjoyable with a final morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park, the home of more than 1.6 million herbivorous that attracts a thousand predators. It is almost impossible to spend too much time in these endless plains! Your guide will help you to spot more of these great species as the adventurous journey will continue as we travel up to Ngorongoro Crater, the 8th natural wonder of the world.
Early afternoon you will arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation area, which is breathtaking for its landscapes as well as its wildlife. You will have lunch in the crater and then continue with game drive till evening. Many of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of the 20,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, eland, zebra, and gazelle. Flamingo, among other bird species, can often be seen feeding at the Lake as well.
Later drive to Karatu at your chosen accommodation, for evening leisure and hot dinner accompanied with a talk of many fascinating experiences of that day!

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Eyasi

Stop At: Lake Eyasi, Karatu Tanzania
Breakfast at the lodge.
Pick up: Our accredited guide will pick you from your lodge and transfer to Lake Eyasi.
Activity: This day trip offers you a unique opportunity to visit the traditional homeland of the Hadzabe (or Hadza) peoples, one of the last surviving hunter-gatherer tribes in the world, and to meet their neighbors, the Datoga peoples. At Lake Eyasi, you’ll make your way to a Hadzabe encampment where you’ll learn about their traditions and daily life, and have an opportunity to hunt with the men, practice your bow and arrow skills, walk with the women as they gather wild plant foods, and purchase crafts made by the families. After a picnic lunch, you’ll visit the world of the Datoga, another of Tanzania’s cultural groups, who practice the ancient art of blacksmith. Watch as the men smelt metal and form it into arrowheads, utensils and jewelry using age-old techniques, and visit their homes where the women will talk about their way of life. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to Karatu and then travel back to Arusha, USA River and overnight stay at Mount Meru game Lodge.
NB: Lunch will be served as picnic. We will pack your lunch boxes from the hotel where you can eat at Lake Eyasi.

Day 6: Arusha City Tour

Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
Breakfast at the lodge,
Take your time to discover the beauty of Arusha city from Clock tower (the half way between Cairo Egypt to Johannesburg South Africa) and take walking to Maasai Market. You will also visit Arusha Declaration monument and museum, central market to learn different African spices, vegetable and fruits, visit Arusha City bus terminal. Then you will visit Cultural Heritage Centre, where you can shop your souvenir. If interested, we can plan a visitation at Snake Park, you will see hundreds of snake species including the cobras and also see birds, crocodiles, tortoise etc. Then you can also climb the camel at Snake Park. In the evening you will drive back to Moshi Town for an overnight at Altezza Lodge.
NB: Lunch will be served at a restaurant of your choice in Arusha Town.

Day 7: Marangu Waterfalls Tour/ Coffee Plantation/ Mount Kilimanjaro Viewing

Stop At: Marangu Falls, Marangu Tanzania
After an early breakfast, you will start your journey to Marangu Waterfalls. On your way, you will stop at coffee plantation/farms and learn how to grow, harvest and process coffee. You will also get a chance to try roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee in the Chagga way. Then you will pass by banana farms, along the way your guide will teach you about local plants and how they are used for food and traditional medicine, as well as giving you more insight into the local Chagga culture. It’s your chance to ask questions about a lifestyle that’s probably very different from your culture!
At Marangu Waterfalls, you will hear the fall before you see them. Once you see the waterfalls, you might be lucky enough to see rainbow sheen as the splashing waters splits the sunlight. The mountain waters falls straight down in a shimmering curtain splashing in the rippling pool where you can float, take a swim and chill out – literally, it is pure mountain water and not yet heated by the sun. You can enjoy swimming at the falls and it is so much fun. The air is fresh and crystals clean (zero pollution). Later on you will head to gate 1, Marangu route, a path used when climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. You will see Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. The view is spectacular and breathe taking.
Later on you will return to Moshi for overnight.

Day 8: Moshi - Kilimanjaro International Airport

Pass By: Kilimanjaro International Airport, Kilimanjaro Airport Rd, Tanzania
After breakfast, you will have chance to see Moshi town, visit the market place and buy some
little stuff and also enjoy the beauty of Moshi town. Later our accredited driver will transfer you
to the airport, and catch a flight to your country of destination.
